Akane Osaki has been fascinated by rakugo, the traditional art of comic storytelling, since childhood.
Her father, Tooru, attempted to attain the highest rank in rakugo, but failed: after passing the exam, he was expelled
from school and took a regular job. Six years later, his daughter strives to achieve the pinnacle of this art
and attain the highest rank of “shinuchi,” which her genius father failed to attain.
