Basic Wavez Prophecy Vol. 1 is a preset pack for Xfer Serum 2, designed for melodic house and techno producers. It represents a deep dive into the innovative world of Serum 2, a synthesizer that redefines sound design with its powerful new features. The introduction of sampler, granular, multi-sample, and spectral oscillators opened up a whole universe of sonic possibilities.
The team started by sampling favorite analog instruments, including the Moog Sub 37 and Arturia Minibrute, transforming their distinctive sounds into expressive and impactful Serum patches. The set also includes a beautifully recorded piano called Gentle Piano and a surprisingly rich-sounding children’s xylophone. Inspiration can be found anywhere.
Each preset comes with a MIDI clip that can be played directly within Serum 2, allowing you to quickly and intuitively evaluate the patch’s sound in action and discover new creative ideas.
One of the key features of this pack was the use of a granular oscillator, which allowed for the creation of rich, evolving drones and soundscapes that sound alive and cinematic. Additionally, thanks to Serum 2’s updated effects section with new routing options and powerful tools like the Bode pitch shifter, the sound was taken to a new level with layers of texture and depth.
