All the colors of analog saturation
Smooth harmonics, powerful impact, analog warmth, and even brutal destruction – saturation and distortion play an important role in professional music production. Designed specifically for this purpose, the HOFA Color Saturator is a real breakthrough.

State-of-the-art neural modeling algorithms deliver a truly authentic richness unlike anything you’ve heard before. And with the specially developed BiasEQ©, you gain completely new creative possibilities.

At HOFA-Studios, we’ve created detailed, high-resolution models of our favorite hardware devices.

Mic Preamps: 4 iconic mic preamps in a variety of designs
Tape Machines: 3 analog tape machines with distinctive harmonics
Guitar/Bass Amps: 7 legendary tube amps, from crunchy to heavy
Pedals: 6 popular, perfectly modeled pedals
Pedal + Amp: 5 guitar pedal and amp combinations for maximum distortion
Other: 4 renowned studio instruments with intriguing harmonics
Heritage: 5 processor-efficient algorithms from SYSTEM Saturator

BiasEQ© has nine bands and a fully parametric mode. This allows you to boost or reduce the degree of distortion in specific audio frequencies. For example, you can boost the midrange frequencies of a bass sound while reducing distortion in the low and high frequencies.

By default, each frequency boost is compensated by a reduction in the same frequency after distortion. If you don’t need this effect, you can disable the linking for each band and fine-tune the adjustments even further.

For particularly precise or extreme modifications, a fully parametric expert mode is available.

No matter what kind of saturation you require for your output signal, BiasEQ© lets you create something special with just a few knobs.

Powerful vocals with tight, rich low-mids combined with a natural and smooth high-frequency spectrum
Drum loops with heavily saturated snaps and toms combined with clean crash loops and dynamic bass drums
Rich highs for an exciter-style sound
