aiming to return the mutant franchise to its roots with smaller focused teams operating in a world that
fears them again, following the collapse of the mutant nation Krakoa. Krakoa has fallen and mutantkind is scattered,
with its former leaders facing a world that is once again hostile. However, the X-Men remain, acting as a flag of defiance.
Unlike the Krakoan era’s high-tech, unified mutant civilization, From the Ashes features separated teams
with different missions and ideologies, forced to reintegrate into human society while protecting it.
X-Men: Age of Revelation is a 2025 Marvel Comics crossover event set ten years in the future.
The event explores a dystopian reality transformed by Doug Ramsey, the former New Mutant who
has become the Heir of Apocalypse, known as Revelation. Ramsey has created the Revelation Territories,

a bleak future that awaits them in 10 years. The overarching theme of this era is that survival requires unity.
Cyclops and Beast, whose consciousnesses have traveled to the future, attempt to change the course of history to prevent
Doug Ramsey’s reign and the spread of the deadly X-virus. Previously disparate groups of mutants are forced to put aside their differences
and unite in the face of an imminent threat. Greymatter Lane, a new school for mutants founded by Emma Frost,
becomes a central hub for interaction across all generations and factions of the X-Universe.
