IRON NEST is a brutal dieselpunk heavy artillery game where you dominate the battlefield by piloting a massive war machine. Every lever, every dial, and every shot is under your control. High Command may issue orders, but the chain of command ends at your fingertips. They bear no responsibility. Unlike you, Operator.
EVERY SHOT COUNTS!
Teletypes are calibrated to monitor local radio communications. One transmits CRITICAL directives from High Command. The other relays direct calls from the front lines. Remember: every bit of information can determine the success of the entire operation.
Transform intelligence into a battle plan, capture aerial photographs that show the results of your actions, and watch as your guns reshape the landscape. The map isn’t just for measurements. It’s also your window onto the battlefield. Rest assured, you can move the markers, but the scars will remain.
Enter your measurements, crunch the numbers, and watch the ballistic calculator find the optimal values for your shot. Increase the propellant charge to send your projectiles over the horizon, or decrease it to precisely target enemy positions. Be careful: the calculator can be wrong. You shouldn’t.
Penetrate bunkers with armor-piercing shells, cover the allied retreat with smoke and shells filled with phosgene. This wouldn’t have happened if there weren’t witnesses. Every shell is designed with a single purpose, and whatever you choose will echo long after the smoke clears.
Spin the elevation wheel and watch the guns elevate under your control. Select the precise amount of propellant charge, otherwise the surgical strike will devolve into unnecessary chaos. Accuracy is everything, because neither flawless documentation nor the best propaganda will absolve you of guilt.
Pull the lever and feel the entire structure shudder beneath your feet. A machine like the Iron Nest doesn’t just turn on a whim. It takes time to move so much iron with the necessary grace. Experienced operators use that time to tend to other tasks. After all, that coffee maker on your countertop isn’t there for nothing.
Pull the trigger and feel the thousand-ton machine respond to your command. Feel the gun’s recoil and watch the front crumble under the weight of steel. When the dust settles, only silence will remain, hanging thick in the air. And the moment the next order comes, everything will start all over again.

The IRON NEST team
is an independent project by two like-minded individuals: Nick Talmers (development) and Dominic Latos (propaganda). Combining over 20 years of experience and a lifelong passion for artillery, interwar technology, and dieselpunk, we are creating a game we’ve dreamed of playing for years.
Nick had been dreaming about IRON NEST for over ten years. Having met while working together as a developer and publisher, we decided it was time to bring this steel-and-powerful heavy turret simulator to life.
The response
has exceeded our wildest expectations. We’re incredibly grateful for every wishlist addition, message, and support. It means a lot to us, as Heavy Turret Simulator is just the first step in the IRON NEST universe.
IRON NEST: Heavy Turret Simulator is a first-person heavy artillery simulator that combines tactical planning, complex vehicle control, and strategic choice, creating a truly unique genre. In addition to the main campaign, you can prove yourself in challenge modes with leaderboards and adapt your strategy using a card-based supply system.
